March
13th, 1999 a campaign was held in the National Stadium
where 4,500 street working children gathered. The
children were given refreshments and introduced to
those ministries that specialize in their problem
area.
That
same day, a parallel event for adults at risk was
organized. 1,800 people attended. Among them were
homosexuals, drug addicts, and those who have tested
HIV positive. 800 volunteers participated as well
as 25 counseling and restoration ministries. There
were 6 praise and worship bands, 3 national and 3
international. 200 of these adults at risk were immediately
taken into the care of a ministry. The rest were registered
with a corresponding ministry according to the person's
specific needs.
